The MiARD project partners the Laboratoire d’Astrophysique de Marseille and the University of Bern, with others, have published a paper in the Astrophysical Journal (ApJ Lett. 819(2), 2016) which, based on the nature of volatile elements trapped in the ice of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, deduces that the ice is primordial – as old as the solar system.
